Jessica Healey is an independent Austin-based artist writing at the crossroads of indie folk, jazz, soul, and pop. She has performed as an official SXSW artist, received the Austin Live Music Fund grant, and been named a Sonic Guild Artist.​​

Frequently compared to singer-songwriters such as Madison Cunningham, Joni Mitchell, and Corinne Bailey Rae, Jess writes with jarring self-awareness, laying indelible lyricism over complex harmony. Her music is emotionally raw and musically sophisticated, yet totally approachable.

Her debut EP, tryhard, blends elements of soul-pop and R&B and reveals the mental gymnastics of a striver: overthinking and over-caring. Containing groovy horn lines, colorful percussion, and bittersweet piano, this varied project possesses enough emotional analysis to give any navel-gazer a run for their money. Her sophomore EP, Unrest, explores duality and complicity across five tracks, arriving early 2027.

With impeccable intonation, wry wit, and a magnetic onstage presence, Jess invites live audiences into both the humor and the heaviness of her mind. Beyond the stage, Jess is a big fan of running half-marathons, reading self-help books, not cooking, and her golden retriever Romeo.
