About

Jessica Healey is a full-time singer-songwriter and jazz vocalist based in Austin, Texas — a city as sonically layered as her sound. Drawing from the emotional edge of indie rock, the intimacy of folk, the harmonic depth of jazz, and the clarity of pop, Jess writes music that defies genre while hitting straight to the heart.

As the bandleader, songwriter, and frontwoman of her self-titled indie-pop project, Jessica performed an official showcase at the 2024 South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival — a milestone that cemented her as one of Austin’s most versatile and captivating emerging voices.

She’s been featured in Sofar Sounds, Austin Music Love, and regularly plays her original music at iconic venues like Mohawk, Hole in the Wall, and Jupiter Supper Club.

Her vocal and writing style has drawn comparisons to Madison Cunningham, Fiona Apple, Phoebe Bridgers, and Corinne Bailey Rae — artists known for their lyrical depth and genre-bending creativity. It’s no surprise Jessica is also the go-to live act for everything from intimate weddings to high-end corporate events, including performances for Fortune 500 companies.

Beyond her indie-pop identity, Jessica is also a rising force in the jazz world. Her straight-ahead jazz ensemble, the Jessica Healey Quintet, holds recurring slots at Austin staples Monks Jazz Club and The Elephant Room, and has shared stages with acclaimed musicians including Joel Frahm, Gerry Gibbs, Elias Haslinger, Mike Sailors, Kevin Lovejoy, and Benny Banack lll.

Jessica’s debut EP — an honest, genre-spanning collection of original songs — is set for release in August 2025. Her latest single, "You Poor Thing," is streaming now on all major platforms.
